I could not tell you a proper name , We call them May apples . As you can see , they are one of the first plants I see in the woods with the seng. Also keep your eyes open for Morel mushrooms around the May apples um,um,good !

You got any comming up Yet ? I just checked I have some two year old plants growing Here ( In the herb garden ) But none I can find in WV.

Hey Kelly,
Here in east/central Ohio. I see my fall planting of 2009
are coming up well. Also the patch from 2006 planting are up.
Seen some wild plants up as well. May the fun begin !...Jim
