I am west central Arkansas and we usually have at least a couple months in the summer with little rain. Except this summer so far has ben mild and wet. But in a drought (several days of 98 deg plus days) with no rainfall how much should i water ginseng?
Provided the soil drains well and is loose, I'd water it just like any other plant. Soak it good, then let the soil dry out before you water again. It might be a few days before it needs more water. I most often won't water my raised beds unless I see plants starting to wilt.
Too much water is more devastating than not enough most generally I'd suggest.
