TOPIC: Plants are Up!

It's been a long cool spring. Our high temps are still in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

I think that just about all plants are up. I'm still seeing a few new seedlings coming up still. So I will wait a little longer to get a count on them.

Here's acouple pics of four and five yr olds. The small specks on the plants is pollen fallen from the trees.

Your highs are lower than my lows...

We have been up in the 90's for several days now and got a string of mid 90's for the week ahead.

Yep - it's done got HOT here in the south.

I feel like I'm dying when we hit 80.

I know our pool water that comes out of the well is 45 degrees. It takes all summer long for our pool water to warm up. But it's nice if you like taking Polar Dips.

It should be a good year for seng growing, as long as Disease and other disasters can be kept from my plants.

So far the Slugs and some kind of \"cut worm\" have done thier share of damage. I'm sure some seedlings were wiped out by slugs. I did have one Three Prong stalk that a slug ate clean through it. But most damage is just holes in the leaves.

Here's a five year old that got attacked by slugs when it was emerging and worms after it opened up. Not Pretty! Atleast they did'nt get to the flower buds. Yet!
