TOPIC: 2010 - Middle Tennessee - Ginseng Prices

Re:2010 - Middle Tennessee - Ginseng Prices 13 years 4 months ago #7647

SengNveins,

Thanks for reporting on the price you got and dealer.

I mentioned the 700.00 price last night to my partner and he is sure leaning towards selling soon.

That would be the most either of us has ever got for dry seng.

We may hang on another week or two just to see if it moves any more but man that price sure is getting tempting...

That is the most we have sold for as well.

I told myself that if it hit 700 I would sell.

Looks like there is not much movement at this time on prices.

I hope it goes on up, it is always exciting watching the price climb!

Good luck to all that have not sold yet.

Hey TN seng-rs

I checked with Larry Faith/Tony Stone (actually talked to Tony) just now and asked about 15 lbs (which is what we have to sell) and he said 715.00/720.00.

My Brother talked to Glenn Bradey over in Pulaski TN yesterday and asked again about 15 lbs, and he said he could go 720.00

I think we may be getting close to pulling the trigger on selling.

May hold out another week or two, but not sure about that.

Good Luck to all !

Hey Guys - confirmed the price drop with the dealer we have been selling to - Glenn Bradey over in Pulasky TN.

He was offering 730.00 first of this week, but said all he could give us if we sell tomorrow (Saturday) is 700.00.

He said the price change happened for him on Wednesday of this week.

I am going to see if my partner wants to sell tomorrow at that price, expect he will since it has obviously turned down a bit at this point.

Who knows what it will do later in the year, could go sky high, but 700.00 is sure a nice price - I will sure be happy with that.

SOLD !

We did sell today 11/20/2010 and got 700.00/lb.

Now that is a good way to end the seng hunting season !

If any of you folks are still holding on - good luck - hope it goes to 1000.00+ later on for you.

Jessy Anderson was actually who I sold mine too and your dang right TNhunter he was pretty cautious about the price even when i was there. His price was either 500 or 550 (I have horrible memory lol) but if it's not just perfect he'll dock the price down a good bit.
