I spoke to a couple of buyers and they all said that at that price it really isnt worth the time and effort... I am honestly not sure why because all the research that I have done it is used in meds for depression and menapause...

my guy buys for 70cents a pound wet. 1.75 dry but it loses 3 to 4x its weight and is really hard to keep from molding and mildew while its drying. when i dig it i put in 50gallon container full of water seemd to soak up more water then after o get 100lbs or more then i immediately take it to him with water dripping out of it LOL. But its alot of hard work with a matic diggin those roots. I make more money off slippery elm bark than anything but the'll only peel from about mid april to bout mid july i get 2.25 pound for dry bark and 2.75 for sasafrass root bark.
