TOPIC: Turkey Season 2017

Turkey Season 2017 6 years 2 weeks ago #41038

Hey Folks...

The weather folks were saying (from Nashville stations) that it was going to get down to the upper 20's last night.
I was sure hoping not... peach trees near end of their bloom, apple trees blooming, etc...

Just before daylight at my house it was 34 degrees... and it stayed that way even after daylight for that first hour or so (sometimes it will drop a little just after daylight)...

I got out and checked blooms on my fruit trees and so far they look Ok.

I also checked my seed bed and the little 3 leafer there was still looking Ok.

I also found a larger plant emerging... first one of these I have found. Looks like there are two tops coming up there...

It finally warmed up some here Chief... last two days highs in the 70's. Nice.

6-7 of my seed bed tops are up and some are rolling out and unfolding.

Looks like we might finally have good weather this coming Saturday for fishing .... hope so.
