TOPIC: ginseng leaves and berries

ginseng leaves and berries 8 years 8 months ago #36548

hello all,

I have been getting quiet the education from posts. thanks.
I am in the eastern panhandle of WV. I can't plant till next year, WV has to certify the farm and that only happens in the spring,I see a lot of post about the marketability of the roots. My question is: Is there a market for the leaves and berries/seeds? I do plan to re-plant the seeds for the first few years, but was wondering if there is a market for them.

thanks

That is really weird, that you have to have permission to plant seeds on your own land. Government has gotten way to big I guess.

From what the state said they are actually validating if there is any wild ginseng growing on the property. I guess that would impact the why and how for planting seed.
I am looking to see if there is any market for the leaves and berries. It would be nice to see some kind of return before the 10 year mark.
