Might hit it a time or two more and will probably wrap it up. This hot stretch has really worked on em. Still found some nice green ones though so will see what she looks like next week.

Wild...

Just got to look thru your entire post and WOW you have some great looking seng. Nice tops and roots. It has a Mountain look to it for sure.

Some of the area you are digging just looks to be super lush and ideal. But you are digging in some thick and tangled stuff too, all of those seng tops in those brush piles... takes some work to get those out and some real patience to get out the whole root, fine roots and all and you have sure done a good job of that.

Good Luck with the rest of your season. I can see in your last pics that it is going down... same here.

Get it while you can brother !

Thanks TN, there's some good ones in there, but boy they'll take you to some gnarly places for sure, lol. I went yesterday for a while, and it got hot early. The woods were really dry, and eat up with bear hunters, so I left mainly for safety reasons. I hunted for maybe an hour and found 3 plants worth digging, not a good sign, but found several nice young patches I let lay of course. It's been in the upper 80's everyday this week so far, suppose to reach 90 today. I believe I'll let the bear hunters have it this week, lol. I might hit it next week, when it cools down, although I can't imagine there'll be much left. Either way I'm grateful for the time I've had in the woods this season. Hope you have a safe and successful hunting season!
