Since moving to western TN a few years ago I've walked many of miles and never came across much Ginseng until this morning. Took my eldest son for a 1.5 hour dig this morning and dug 2 lbs 10.7 ozs and left more than we took. Some monster plants and roots too. This is what it's all about right here.

I know, we left at least 5-6 plants for everyone we dug and planted every berry in separate holes. We hit the same place again this morning and got anothe 1.5 pounds. Put us at 6.5 pounds in that one spot. Good thing is there's no doubt in my mind we left more than we dug. I'd say we can go back there every few years and get 1-2 pounds and still leave plenty for the future.
