TOPIC: north facing?

would you say north facing is for e.g me on top looking down the mountain facing north the hill side going down right in front of me is a north facing hill?..
or bottom of hill looking up and im pointing north? is that north facing hill?

A north facing hill is the face of the hill facing the North. In the morning if you were walking the TOP of a ridge line Eastbound towards the rising sun, the sloping downward hillside to your left would be a Northfacing hill.
