Got out for about an hour and a half or so after work this evening and went to spot I always save for the last little bit of the season, reason being it is a holler full of head high stinging weed and this is about the only time I can find enough worth digging because the yellow seng is easy to spot right now and some of the undergrowth has died down now too, I usually find some of my best roots in this holler, here's a big knee high 4 notice how tall the stinging weed is.

Dug some really pretty and old roots with long water roots, ended up with 7.4 ounces with just about 10 or 12 roots

I was c aught off guard by how early it got dark tonight and had to walk out in the dark, I didn't get to see the blood moon here this morning due to clouds and drizzle, but I could have swore it was red when it first came up over the mountains tonight, but you can't really tell in the picture, this was right over top of Table Rock mountain, made for a pretty picture.

Here's a wide shot of the picture, the biggest mountain you can see to the far left of the picture is Grandfather Mountain and right below the moon is Table Rock.

Got out for about 4 hours Saturday, was planning on staying longer, but about an hour into my hunt it started pouring the rain so I finally got so wet I wimped out a little early. Here's a very tall 4 prong, can't really see one prong which was already dried up and brown.
