today Iwent to put a rope in one of my bow stands,I knew about 50 yards from this tree was an nice little patch of 3 prongers,went and checked them ,nothing but the stalk left and they were blown over and most weren't attached to the root, just laying loose on top of the ground..they will be there next year...

more rain last night,,had some rain now everyday for the last 4 days..

Im sory it is ending for you Brother I know how you love to dig as I do I have something posted that will bring you some cheer today you might say that you will surely feel

Sat morning was the opener here for archery,seen this one on a blood trail of a doe.stopped a took a pic.... ..found the doe too.... ...145 lb.s

Congrats on getting some meat in the freezer Chief! Bow season is in here, but I haven't got out yet. Maybe by the end of next week. Haven't dug much this year and am still debating on weather or not to go to my best spot or give it one more year. It will be next monday at the earliest. My work schedule got changed around and really screwed up seng season for me this year, but should work out good for getting me in the tree stands a little more.

thanks 5 ,yea I already ate one T-loin off that doe..she was tasty..I know your dilemma,I had a hot spot to check there at the end this year,knew there was some good root there..I decided to wait till next year.I've got about 3 or 4 more good warm days and all mine will be dry.I will have a total wieght by the end of the week...
