I agree hillbilly sometimes a 2 prong can be un -normal if you will,and it is very easy to see when it is.When a 2 prong has leafs that are as big and spread as a nice 4 prong I will gurantee you it is the wrong top for the root,somehow,,,,because I have found one like that,and Caleb found one like that and Lee found 1 like that and all three have been very mature roots one was 14 years old and weighed near an ounce.
It is also very easy to tell the new 2`s also they will be very small in stalk,small,limbs and even smaller leaves and that will be 98 o/o of the 2 prongs found,but once in awhile you find a odd one and it is very neat I record and take a photo of them.

So all in all the tops don't really matter or the amount of prongs but usually we all can tell whether or not it is mature.
