TOPIC: Goals

Re:Goals 13 years 6 months ago #11246

Billy,
Some will disagree but I would wait to move those roots next fall. One year old roots are very fragile. 2 year old roots are more hardy and transplant better than one year old roots. I doubt you will have to worry about disease from them growing too close together even if you wait till next fall.

Billy ,
Great to hear that you had good success with the stratified seed from last year. My goal this year is mostly stewardship, but I also want to start my own wild seed bed and plant a few pounds of stratified seed in some spots. Just curious as to where you get your stratified seed.

Thanks,

I've got a question you can help me with. I'm also a KY dealer, kind of new to the rules and regulations. If I dig ginseng this season do I list it on the regular digger sheet with the others or keep it on a seperate sheet to it self. Thanks, rootman?

Thanks,

I got my seed from this site hear at wildgrown.Mikes seed is a little higher than some others, but I believe that his seed is worth the asking price because of the very good percentage of seed that comes up.

Last season I ask this same question and a couple guys told me that the seed had been good for them.I talked with Mike about the seed and he assured me that he had done very good with his customers on repeat business and had good outcome.

So I tried the seed and I am very pleased with the outcome.I am going to buy more seed this year from wildgrown.

Billy.

Rootman that was something that I wasent sure about either.

So I called Anna Lucio down at the agriculture dep: and she told me to do it just as if you where a digger and came in to sell it to you,you are just digging it instead of buying it,but that still gives them a record of the amount harvested in that year from the State.

Feel ftree to ask me any question concerning dealership and I will be glad to help you if I know :)
